Blurb: For the past week room 5 has been doing a Te Reo Maori slide.
Reflection: I think I have done good but I could have finished more and finished faster. I learnt numerous catchphrases and learnt more Maori words. I found it hard to finish because I don't know much Maori.

Get into gaming

Walt: Understand what gaming is.

I learned that esport is a sport played by gamers on a platform to vs other gamers. It is watched by millions of people and is played by thousands upon thousands. Gamers are said to be athletes. There are heaps of teams.

I also learned that esports is not a physical game. In 2021, global esports gaming revenue will soar to $ 3.5 billion.

Reflection: I enjoyed watching people gaming and learning. It was interesting and detailed. It got boring so I ignored the rest. Next time I will listen more carefully.

Mati Mati

Walt:  play three different games with Matua Derek.

Today we played three different games with Matua Derek and my favourite was Mati Mati. I like Mati Mati because it was exciting and fun. It was hard to get used to and with everyone not remembering how to play. The other team was good but my team had just beaten them by one. The main idea of the game is to pass the ball without moving to the other people in your team till you get to the other side of the court and pass the line to get a point.

Reflection: I could've helped and passed more. I also would of wanted the ball more cause I never had it.

Ki o Rahi

Ki o Rahi Walt: Today we played ki o Rahi. Today we played ki o Rahi with Matua Derek. It was really hard because the team I was up against were gods my team sucked. I tried really hard to block shots and done really good at blocking and passing. My team was not good because we had slow people in the team. At the end of ki o Rahi Matua Derek taught us a new game called horo hopu which is netball but with no net. To play you’re not allowed to move and. You have to pass the ball from one side of the field up to the other side to get a point. reflection: I learned how to play horo hopu. I also learned how to block good and pass properly. Next time I will help my team out more and be a good sportsman.
